Damn Yankees- February 17th-26th, 2006

DAMN YANKEES is based on Douglass Wallop's Novel "The Year The Yankees Lost The Pennant," the show is about man's obsession with baseball. Joe Boyd sells his soul to Mr. Applegate (the devil) for 'one good long ball hitter' for his team the Washington Senators and becomes a 22 year old sports superstar. He can escape by going back to his wife before 9 on the final game day. Applegate tries in more ways than one to stop Joe from succeeding, because he gets Joe's soul the night of the final game. At 9, Joe returns to his 40 yr. old form, but hits a grand slam anyway, winning the pennant for his team.

Belasco Theatre Company, Southern Cal.,  performed this fun loving musical for 8 shows from February 17-26th, 2006 at the  Hermosa Playhouse.
